In MS Excel, “character” is not a valid data type.

There are Three types of data in cells: labels, values, and formulas.

 Formulas are instructions for Excel to perform calculations.

Labels (text) are descriptive pieces of information, such as names, months, or other identifying statistics, and they usually include alphabetic characters.

Values (numbers) are generally raw numbers or dates.

Hyperlinks can be used for text, drawing objects, and pictures.

They provide a way to navigate within a document, to a different document, or to a web page.

In a spreadsheet, the data is organised in columns and rows. 

Cell entry “July 16, 2016” will be considered a value by Excel sheet.

In Excel, “July 16, 2016” is recognized as a date, which is stored as a serial number.

In Excel, each row of a table corresponds to a record.

It is a complete set of data.

Field corresponds to columns in Excel.

Each column represents a field or a specific type of data within the records.

When we open a new workbook in MS Excel, the Title bar appears on the topmost portion of the screen.

In MS Excel, the term “data categories” refers to the horizontal axis (also known as the X-axis) in a chart.

It organizes individual values within the chart’s data series and represents different categories or labels along this axis.
